In this video, we will look at the on the water performance of the factory setup of a Weldcraft Ocean King 240 rigged with Twin Yamaha F200s (I-4 / 2.8L) with 3 blade 14.25 x 17 Yamaha Reliance Series props. Then we will swap out with a set of 4 blade PowerTech 14.25 x 15 props and test speed,RPM, Fuel consumption/fuel flow rate.

Unfortunately, there are very few documented performance numbers with this specific boat, with these motors and props. So I hope that providing this data, you will find it useful to help you size the correct prop if you are rigging a similar boat.

If you work with a good local prop shop, most will help you size the prop and then let you swap them out multiple times, if they don't work for your use case. This allows you to get the perfect prop for your boat and motors.
