A 22 year old barber allegedly killed two children and seriously injured another in Uttar Pradesh's Badaun on Tuesday .

Police stated that the barber was later shot dead in an encounter overnight between Tuesday and Wednesday. The incident caused a lot of anger in the city on Tuesday evening, but authorities say the situation is now calm.

The accused operated a barbershop across from the victims' residence in Baba Colony, Badaun. He is believed to have been acquainted with deceased sons father, Vinod. M According to the police, the barber entered the victims' house around 7:30 pm on Tuesday, asking for tea.

While the mother went to make tea, he went up to the terrace where three children—Aayush (13), Ahaan (7), and Piyush (6)—were playing. He attacked the boys with a sharp weapon, cutting the throats of two victims.
