How to maintain recorder joints - cork / thread (also traverso, baroque oboe, baroque bassoon, etc.)

Описание к видео How to maintain recorder joints - cork / thread (also traverso, baroque oboe, baroque bassoon, etc.)

The joints of the recorder are important for its parts to fit well, so that the recorder won't have any air leaks which affects its sound and tuning. This video is both on cork or thread joints, Maintenance rule number one is using grease on the joints regularly, such as vaseline. I also show what I do when the tab is too thin. This video also is about problemshooting, although if the cork has fallen off and you need to rethread the joint, I've made a special video for that. It also applies to other wind instruments that have cork or thread on their joints (traverso, baroque oboe, baroque bassoon, etc.)
