News: Founder of the Awami Ittehad Party (AIP) Sheikh Abdul Rashid, who goes by his popular name Engineer Rashid, is seen to be the gamechanger in the Jammu and Kashmir assembly elections this year that is taking place for the first time since 2019 when the former state, now a Union Territory, lost its semi-autonomous status with the removal of Article 370 and 25 A in 2019. The last assembly elections were held here in 2014. Er. Rashid, the man who claims that he is not a politician but an activist, said by not resolving the Kashmir issue, India has created problems for itself in terms of not getting a permanent seat at the UN Security Council. A section of political parties in Kashmir valley and the BJP made a joint plan to put Rashid behind the bars in Tihar jail to suppress the voice of Kashmiris but people wanted him back, Rashid told ABP Live's Nayanima Basu - Watch:
