Maybe your email inbox is super organised or maybe you have just too many emails? In this video I share some university lecturer tips of how I try and maintain control over my academic email inbox. I tend to use a folder and subfolder system, but still end up using search when I need to find something. How quick to reply to emails, particularly those from students, varies between professors and universities. I'd love to be able to reply to all emails within 24 hours but realistically that is just not possible for me. I will always endeavour to reply promptly - but sometimes I think we need a holiday from the demands of our overflowing emails. I've never achieved a 0 email inbox, but if it stays under 50 I view that as a win! :)
