In this video we will be discussing the basics of DMX Addressing through Dip Switch Binary Code. Each Dip Switch Number represents a DMX Channel value, through binary code. The Dip Switch number you choose decides where the DMX signal is going to be sent for a particular fixture you are working with. When working with multiple fixtures, you must pay close attention to the number of channels each fixture requires. Your first fixture will be set to Channel 1; the second fixture should be set to the next available channel. Some DMX Controllers are equipped with a digital display where you scroll up/down to your desired channel. There are also apps available to tell you exactly how to address any DMX Channel you need.
