After a long day of exploring the charming streets of Puducherry, I stumbled upon Kandhan Cafe, a small eatery tucked away in a bustling alley. Intrigued by the mouth-watering aromas wafting from the kitchen, I decided to give it a try. To my delight, I was served a traditional thali meal that consisted of a variety of flavourful dishes, including rice, curries, and condiments. Each bite was a burst of authentic South Indian flavours, and I savoured every morsel. I had the best local Thali at this gem of a restaurant.

As I made my way back to my accommodations, I suddenly craved something sweet to round off my meal. Walking past a local sweet shop, I decided to satisfy my sweet tooth. However, as I struggled to communicate my order in the local language, a kind local stepped in to help me. With their assistance, I was able to select a delightful assortment of delectable sweets to enjoy in the comfort of my room.

This experience not only satisfied my hunger but also provided me with a deeper appreciation for the rich culinary traditions of Puducherry. From the savoury thali at Kandhan Cafe to the sweet treats from the local shop, each bite was a reminder of the warmth and hospitality of the people of Puducherry. I left with a full stomach and a newfound love for the diverse and delectable cuisine of this coastal town.
