#PanditSanjeevAbhyankar born 1969 is a #Hindustaniclassicalmusicvocalist of the #MewatiGharana. He won the National Film Award for Best Male Playback Singer in 1999 for his song, #SunoReBhaila, in the Hindi film, #Godmother and also the Kumar Gandharva National Award 2008 from the Govt of Madhya Pradesh for sustained excellence in the field of Classical Arts. He started learning Hindustani classical music at the age of eight, groomed by his mother and his guru #Pimpalkhare and later from Pandit #Jasraj. Abhyankar rendered his first stage performance in Mumbai at the age of 11 in 1981. Sanjeev has given vocal for Essence of Life, a dance group conceptualized by Dega Deva Kumar Reddy to spread #JidduKrishnamurti's teachings across India.
#PanditRaghunandanPanshikar born 1963 is a Hindustani classical vocalist. He has received training in the #Jaipurgharana. His music reflects the quintessential style of the Jaipur-Atrauli gharana - a full throated akaar, dazzling tans and layakari, and a refined use of meend and gamak, Shri. Raghunandan Panshikar has established his unique treatment to classical singing. A versatile artist, he sings semi classical forms like #Bhajans, #Thumris, #Gazals and #NatyaSangeet with panache. Recipient of several prestigious awards, Shri. Raghunandan Panshikar has made his mark in performances throughout the nation as well as in Europe, the United States and the Middle east. Raghunandan was born into a family of Sanskrit scholars and classical musicians. He is the son of the eminent Marathi stage actor and producer #PrabhakarPanshikar. Panshikar's aptitude for music was recognized and fostered from an early age. He began his formal study of music in Mumbai at the age of eleven. He learned music from the late #PanditVasantraoKulkarni for two years. Later he took training from the doyen of Jaipur gharana, #KishoriAmonkar from the age of 17, over next 20–22 years. During this time, Raghunandan had the rare fortune to be guided by Kishori Tai’s mother, gaan Tapaswini Late. Smt. Mogubai Kurdikar, an early disciple of the founder of Jaipur-Atrauli gharana, Ustad Alladiya Khan.
