Volvo XC60 Front Brake Pad & Rotor Replacement DIY (2010-2016 Volvo P3 XC60)

Описание к видео Volvo XC60 Front Brake Pad & Rotor Replacement DIY (2010-2016 Volvo P3 XC60)

►Replacing your front brake pads and rotors is a great way to gain experience as a DIY'er. The Volvo XC60 brake system is as simple as it gets, making replacement a relatively easy and quick task, depending on the amount of corrosion present. This is something you'll want to do as soon as possible, too, because any damage or ineffectiveness from the brakes could mean harm to yourself or others.

Brake discs and pads typically last between 60,000 and 100,000 miles. Luckily, you'll be able to hear, feel, and see when it's time to replace those parts. Once the pad material has worn away, the metal backing plate will grind against the disc, creating a loud grinding and gouging the rotor face. Sometimes, the disc can warp early, leading to an intense juddering through the pedal and steering wheel. In both cases, you'll need to get your hands dirty to get your vehicle back to 100%.

In this video, Mike Hidalgo, FCP Euro's Professional DIY'er, replaces the front brake rotors and pads on a P3 Volvo XC60.
