Fairmont Sub Layout Tour ! O Scale 2R

Finally took the time to create a layout tour. I am a novice movie maker, so this is really the best I can do. Opening credit picture is by Bill Brennan from 69' on the West End. The slide is from my collection. The layout is set in 1965-68' and is based on a fictitious B&O line between Cumberland and Columbus OH with Fairmont WV as a major set-out point along the way. Lines radiate from Fairmont to Grafton, and Connellsville PA. This provides the opportunity for lots of east and west coal traffic from the modern Amherst Mine south of Morgantown. The connection to Morgantown and Connellsville PA, brings the opportunity for WM trains to service the Amherst mine as well as occasional Alpha Jet trains to make an appearance. The Fairmont yards have capacity for approx. 70 40ft cars and there are 16 customers the railroad services. Construction began around 2008 and was finished in 2018 (though there are still plenty of little projects and upgrades to be done).
