New Year Greetings

“I like the dreams of the future better than the history of the past.”

This quote of Thomas Jefferson captures the state of my mind as we step into the New Year 2081.

The Year 2080 was one of the most transformative year in the history of our institution. We expanded the infrastructure of our institution, and also saw an unprecedented leap in our global and national engagements, including the mobility of our team members worldwide. Our agreement with the Governments of Nepal and Japan for the construction of the state-of-the-art trauma center is a milestone also for the nation. We expanded our services and established ourselves as one of the largest research and training centers in the country in health.

However, what excites us more is what this new year holds for us. We will begin to see the fruits of the seeds of partnerships we planted, and our efforts in expanding and strengthening our team members.

This will result into the following three transformations.

First, it will reinforce our commitment not just to the Quality of Care but also enhance the convenience and comfort of the care-seekers.

Second, it will help in the rejuvenation of our institution, in terms of its identity and also sustainability.

And third, it will help open newer avenues of growth of our institution, in care,
academics, research and entrepreneurship too.

Together, these will make this institution a preferred destination of care for patients; institution of choice for students, trainees and researchers; ideal platform for growth to all who want to work with us; exemplary site for collaborating institutions; and a model of success to all those who believe quality health care to all is an achievable goal in our lifetime.

Let us welcome this year with the optimism and commitment, and promise to ourselves that as a family, our future is boundless!!
