Thotupala Kanda

The Horton plains national park lies approximately 20 Km south of Nuwara Eliya. Horton Plains, the surrounding forests and the adjoining Peak Wilderness constitute Sri Lanka’s most important catchment area, of almost all major rivers.
Horton Plains is well recognized for its rich unique biodiversity, its fauna and flora and yet remains largely under explored. Temperature drops to 0 Degrees at night. Many wild animals such as deer, hare, sambas, wild boar and even leopards can be seen if one is lucky.

Thotupalakanda is the third highest mountain in Sri Lanka situated in Nuwara Eliya district 2,357 m (7,733 ft) above MSL. The mountain is located within the Horton Plains National Park. A trail to the top of the mountain, about two kilometres long, starts a few metres away from the Pattipola entrance to the Horton Plains National Park in Sri Lanka.

The trail to the top is through rough terrain but also through tunnels of trees and suddenly emerges on to clear grass areas. A must for the adventure lovers and there is a possibility of seeing wild life too.

Pidurutalagala
Piduruthalagala is the highest mountain in Sri Lanka, at 2,524 m (8,281 ft) above MSL. The peak is currently designated as an "ultra-high security zone", and protected by a large military base, the peak is strictly off-limits to the general public hikers & travelers.

Kirigalpotta
Kirigalpoththa is the 2nd thighest mountain in Sri Lanka at 2,388 m (7,835 ft) above MSL. And is also the highest mountain in the country whose summit is accessible to the any travelers.
