This is a Very useful guide for Pump it up, In the groove, and Dance Dance revolution machines, For raising sensitivity in the arrows.

This guide is something you absolutely must view before buying sensors, Now im not saying "Dont buy sensors!" Im saying, Make sure your sensors are the cause of the problem before replacing! Thanks to performing this check, I was able to go from spending a potential $600 USD on 40 sensors to only spending $45 USD on 3 sensors.

Basicly, This is to determine if your sensors are bad, OR if they are just being blocked by the sensor holder (high density rubber) And how to fix them.

For those wondering, The material I use in the video is Frost King brand Vinyl Foam Weatherseal -Self Stick Tape 3/4" wide 3/16" thick - Moderate compression.

Basicly, This stuff will take shape and fill the gap between your sensor and the metal sensor protector, Since your rubber sensor holder is blocking the sensor from detecting that it is being pressed on. I also adjusted the sensor a little so the point of pressure was closer to the wire itself, this way if the wire had been damaged in any way near the center where it originally was, It will now register fine.

This is a very simple fix usable on many arcade machines such as this, So I hope it helps your problem!

You can pickup 17 feet of it from Lowes for about 7 bucks, That would be enough to raise the sensor mounts on the top and underside on every one of the 40 sensors with room left over.

Just remember to ONLY DO THE UNDERSIDE IF THE SENSORS ARE STILL SENSITIVE BUT BEING BLOCKED BY THE RUBBER SENSOR HOLDER!

Otherwise you are going to have a high chance of stuck sensors, Which is not a good thing!
