00 gauge LSWR T3 model announcement by Bachmann at Swanage 7th Sept 2024

Thanks to Graham Muspratt and the Kernow Model Rail Centre team, I was invited to join the Bachmann Collectors Club at the Swanage Railway for the much anticipated announcement of a model of the Adam’s LSWR T3 class 4-4-0, of which Swanage resident No.563 is the only survivor.

To my mind, it’s one of the most beautiful locomotives ever produced, and its restoration is one that I’ve followed with interest. So it was almost with a spring in my step that I woke at 0430 to catch the 0601 (or whatever it was) off Waterloo this Saturday just gone. What an absolute corker this looks -it really does seem to evoke the gliding lines and greyhound feel of the original.

Spec from Bachmann is towards the end of the video - and I know my camerawork is appalling; perhaps one day I’ll buy a tripod. Liveries announced in November, out in early 2025 I am told.
