पिकांवर पडणाऱ्या विशिष्ट प्रकारच्या प्रकाशाचं आकर्षण असतं. प्रकाश पाहिल्यावर किडीचे पतंग त्याकडे आकर्षित होतातय. हीच गोष्ट लक्षातघेऊन सौरप्रकाश सापळा विकसित करण्यात आला आहे. याशिवाय या सापळ्याचा उपयोग नर पंतगांना आकर्षित करण्यासाठी होतो. वेळीच लक्ष न दिल्यास पिकांचं ३० ते ५० टक्के नुकसान होते. त्याबरोबर शेतकऱ्यांवर किडनाशकांच्या फवारणीचा खर्च होतो.

Plants are attracted to certain types of light. Moths are attracted to the light when they see it. The Solar Light Trap has been developed keeping this in mind. Besides this trap is used to attract male insects. 30 to 50 percent loss of crops if not paid attention in time. Along with that the farmers incur the cost of spraying pesticides.
