BEACH HOUSE BINIGNIT IN THE PHILIPPINES!

For many Filipinos, Holy Week is full of traditions. And when it comes to food... one snack certainly is on the minds of many people here in the Philippines... BINIGNIT! That is the Bisaya term for this warm rice based merienda. The dish itself varies in color, ingredients, and texture. But the main staples are rice, and root crops.

I LOVE BINIGNIT! I consider it a "warm halo-halo", and it is a very very comforting dish to eat! Something that my tastebuds learned to love here in the Philippines!

This is just another day at our beach house in Cateel, Davao Oriental, Mindanao.

Many Filipinos crave for this food... and so do I!
