Instruction to replace your CTS (2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013) trunk lift support struts. If your trunk comes crashing down or it requires significant strength to lift, then your trunk lift support struts need replacing. Trunk lift supports typically last about 5 years before they begin to fail. Luckily, the struts are cheap and easy to replace.

Always check fitment for your exact car and model before purchasing.

All you need is a small flat head screwdriver or a pick. It's an easy DIY job.

The car shown is a 2011 Cadillac CTS (V6 3.0L) however these instructions can be used for other model years too, as the car's design was relatively unchanged for many years, such 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012 and 2013.
