The secret to beautiful leafy greens 🥬

✨Start them early!✨

Cool-season vegetables thrive in temperatures between 40-70°F (4-21°C). I like to start mine indoors in the mid winter and plant them outside after they have been properly acclimated, a few weeks before my last frost date in the spring.

Regular watering and protection from extreme temperatures contribute to their successful growth. They are cold hardy and should be able to handle a light frost! But you can always keep frost covers handy to cover them in case of an unexpected hard frost.
