Right from Sethu, Nanda to Rajinikanth's Endhiran, he has built a reputation for himself for being one of the most interesting cinematographers who can do magic with lighting and composition.
Currently, he's basking in the glory of Khaidi No 150's success. The film, which marked Chiranjeevi's comeback after almost a decade to silver screen, has already become one of the highest grossing films in Telugu cinema.

In an exclusive interview to iDream Media's 'Talking Movies with iDream' series, Rathnavelu spoke to us in detail about the making of the film, working with Chiranjeevi and the challenges he overcame to shoot some of the key segments in the film including the coin fight sequence.
