President Arjun Sahgal leads ISRS for the next 2 years

With a rich history of membership, leadership and engagement with ISRS, Dr. Arjun Sahgal, Department of Radiation Oncology, Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre, Toronto Canada, becomes the 17th president of the society. During the ISRS Congress 2024 in New York City, Dr. Sahgal reflected on the value of the society from the early stages through his growing career and what this will mean for future generations in the profession and the ongoing development of the fields of SRS, SBRT and related focal therapies.

“As a young radiation oncologist, being brought into the field, it really was the ISRS that helped me appreciate the international impact that we have in radiosurgery and how these connections within the different countries really tailor a more uniform approach globally, so that patients benefit from the highest quality care.”
