The Spinosaurus Universe: Diamond’s Story (Read from "The Spinosaurus.")
When a young boy is abandoned by his drug addicted parents after the onset of the apocalypse, young James finds he is being thrown a bone by the hostile world and ends up in a raised by wolves scenario. However, his new family aren’t wolves, they’re oversized and dangerous Velociraptors, changed by the anomaly that resurrected the Earth’s prehistoric life in more ways than just getting an upgrade in size (See my other narrations from this setting for more context on why some get altered). For James, the apocalypse offers him something he never had, a real family and for one of the raptors it offers a chance for something she thought she’d never get to have. Little do they both know, they both need one another to fill the voids within them…

A spinoff story of the main plot of my book, set within the same universe but showing something going on elsewhere in the world outside of the main plot though during the same general time frame; a raised by wolves sort of story but with talking, oversized raptors instead. The main dinosaur of this one is Diamond, unlike Spino from the other narrations she is a motherly character who has been traumatized by grief and loss. However, this is a much more lighthearted, less violent, and wholesome story, it’s nice to have those at times, which widens the world and shows you have other talking dinosaurs like Spino vary from their nontalking species counterparts. The apocalypse allows for a large variety of settings, my next narration is one with more of a somber, reflective and unsettling vibe.

Art that appears throughout the video was all drawn by me, aside from the same one that was the thumbnail, and all are illustrations based on moments throughout the books or their character history and story continuity.
And yes, I know there are dinosaurs named Red and Ghost in Jurassic World Dominion, which I didn't even know about till just before the new one came out, but I came up with the names for these characters I think 3 years ago now and I'm not changing them just because of that; they don't have a monopoly on naming dinosaurs after a color or specter. If they were major characters I might’ve but my Red and Ghost are minor and don’t appear again outside of this story. Though, I will say that I did name Red as such to be a soft homage to Blue, but there wasn't a movie raptor named Red at the time. She's not the only one who's name is a reference, there also is a raptor character named Gamma, which was a loose reference to The Walking Dead's character with the same name. Wasn't even the original intent, I liked how Gamma sounded and thought it would be a good name, only later thinking and deciding that it made for a good homage to an underrated character from my favorite show.
