During Advent, we prepare ourselves spiritually for the anniversary of Christ's birth,
Advent means the coming of Christ, or the second coming, so the period leading up to Christmas is known as Advent,
It is the first season of the Christian church year,
On each of the four Sundays preceding Christmas,
an Advent candle is lit,
The 4 candles of Advent names are hope, love, joy, and peace, representing the virtues Jesus brought us,
This Meditative Compline is like a daily sleep sanctuary.Sleep Meditation. For a restful night sleep, for peace and tranquility tonight, On the surface this may seem like a repetitive prayer but what this daily discipline does is to establish and keep a connection open with God.
Listen to this Bedtime Meditation, the Bedtime Prayer of the Church,Be still, aware of God’s presence within and around you. The focus is on calming all the busyness of our day, that interferes with opening our hearts to God for the final Office of the day. When you breathe in through your nose instead of your mouth, air is able to reach the lower lobes of your lungs. Stimulating your parasympathetic nervous system that is in charge of restoration, relaxation and rejuvenation.
Listening also provides the ability for anyone around the globe to listen at the end of their own day. The point of the Compline is to not stimulate deep thoughts as with the other Daily Offices, but to feel secure in in the light of God. So that we can sleep soundly, and awaken another day in God's service restored.

The Lords Prayer
Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name.
Your kingdom come, your will be done,
on earth as in heaven.
Give us today our daily bread.
Forgive us our sins as we forgive those who sin against us.
Save us from the time of trial, and deliver us from evil,
for the kingdom, the power, and the glory are yours,
now and forever. Amen
All prayer concerns may be mentioned at this time …
so all our community can pray.
For the sick, the weary, the dying,
The suffering, the afflicted, the joyous,
All people of earth God loves you,
Peace be with you.
Amen
