Simple jon boat trailer guides for the DIY guy that likes a cheap solution. The guides I make may work for you, but if they don't, I hope I am able to spark an idea for your trailer guide project.

I show the old trailer guides I broke that are still attached to the trailer. They were thin walled pvc pipe, attached with U-bolts. After traveling at 60mph, the thin walls cracked and snapped in half.

So now I'm using regular sch 40 pvc pipe, 1.25", for the jon boat trailer guides. This whole project was under $20 and could be under $10 if you went with galvanized bolts and washers instead of the stainless like I did. So its perfect for the DIY guy that wants to keep this fix cheap.

Materials:
1 x 10' section of sch 40, 1.25" pvc pipe
2 x 1.25" elbows / 90's
4 x Stainless bolts (I used 3/8" size bolts)
4 x Stainless lock nuts
4 x Stainless washers

PVC cement/primer/cleaner if you plan permanently connect the parts together

To hold the long section of pvc pipe to the elbow, I used:
2 x Stainless bolt
2 x Stainless wing nuts
(1 for each side)

This took me two hours to complete but I was also adjusting the camera and filming so I think you could cut back on the time.
