A registered agent is an agent that is also known as a resident agent and a statutory agent. It provides your business litigation support by accepting service of process, providing your annual renewal, and providing your tax statements. Afterwards, the process server may file an affidavit of service. However, having this will prevent you from a default judgment entered against you for failure to state a claim, getting a writ of possession issued against your business, or getting a visit from Agent 00.

Registered agent addresses are important for real estate investing and your business legal protection, especially if you have a Wyoming LLC. If you don’t, it’s much easier to perform a piercing of the corporate veil, whereby you are held personally liable for that claim.
