➡️ LESSON DESCRIPTION: This lesson explains the indications and contraindications of a small bowel follow through as well as describes the room set up and supplies needed to perform a small bowel follow through. This lesson also explains the duties to be performed, specifically when interviewing the patient prior to the exam. This lesson also identifies the contrast agents used in small bowel imaging as well as special cases associated with small bowel imaging and the technical factors and fluoroscopy settings for a small bowel follow through. This lesson also describes common positioning and projections to be performed and identifies the anatomy that needs to be included on a small bowel follow through.

Objectives:
1. Understand the indications and contraindications of a small bowel follow through.
2. Describe the room set up and supplies needed to perform a small bowel follow through.
3. Understand the duties to be performed, specifically when interviewing the patient prior to the exam.
4. Recognize contrast agents used in small bowel imaging.
5. Understand special cases associated with small bowel imaging.
6. Identify technical factors and fluoroscopy settings for a small bowel follow through.
7. Describe common positioning and projections to be performed.

9. Describe basic disease processes and radiologist/RRA assessment.
