Sarokar- Street vendor's rights and reality

Despite having a separate legislation to administer street vendors across the country, local authorities have not been able to accommodate space for lot of small traders. Only few states have implemented the policy and many are unable to enforce the law.

In this edition of Sarokar, we debate the plight of street vendors in the country and how delays in implementing the law passed by central government are affecting the livelihood of small traders.
