Sifu Clark Tang of The Wing Chun Temple is certified by Grand Master Wong Long, an original student of Grand Master Yip Man to teach in Grand Master Yip Man's image, which is a very big honor for Sifu Clark Tang. His journey in the martial arts world started very young and has studied many martial art styles and systems, and Clark says nothing is like Wing Chun Gung Fu. However, the crazy part about the Wing Chun world, a few people are constantly verbally fighting and arguing regarding whose Wing Chun is authentic and not during GM Yip Man's time in Hong Kong. This is the most bizarre part about new practitioners to the Wing Chun system because they experienced something great about the art, their heads are starting to swell up. Wing Chun takes years and years to practice and cultivate, and still there are more things to learn. Therefore, Wing Chun is for responsible and mature individuals to really understand; otherwise they are all like trying to grab a hold of water that is never going to happen.
Learn martial arts for the good; otherwise do something else because toward the end, you will be so disappointed. Wing Chun is really "NOTHINGNESS..." HONORING YOUR SIFU... Not Yourself
Great Teachers are known to have get effect on many students and disciples. Therefore, it's very common for a few to fight over the love of her or his Sifu by saying I am "The One and Only True Disciple of my Sifu" but in reality, great Sifu like GM Yip Man or Sifu GM Wong Long Ching have many students and disciples. And that's a good thing because they are that good that is why they are able to attract many students and disciples. Imagine a great Sifu has only one student or only one disciple; that would be sad and that's not a great Sifu. Great Sifu are able to inspire many or like Master Bruce Lee inspired millions around the world. To honor your Sifu, there are many ways to do so by publicly or privately talk the truth about how your Sifu influences your life. And because of your Sifu, you can inspire others by carrying your Sifu's good characters by living by example. However, if you start saying that you are the only one disciple and bashing others, certainly you're NOT honoring your Sifu, BUT you're honoring YOURSELF yet Disgracing your Sifu by tearing down his legacy and his good life long work.
