The US central bank Federal Reserve has announced a cut in interest rates. The announcement was made on Wednesday after a two-day meeting. Interest rates have been reduced by 50 basis points. Its effect was seen on the stock market on 19 September. Today Sensex reached an all-time high level of 83,773.61 and Nifty reached an all-time high level of 25,611.95.
