From beginning to end, Anaheim Ducks forward Adam Henrique's return to the Prudential Center on Monday night proved to be a roller-coaster ride of emotions for both Henrique and those in attendance.On Nov.30, Henrique was dealt to Anaheim in a multi-player deal that included defenseman Sami Vatanen.Henrique spent eight seasons with the New Jersey Devils and quickly became a fan favorite.From his iconic goal to send the Devils to the Stanley Cup Finals in 2012, Henrique experienced his fair share of special moments in New Jersey.MORE: NHL Trades: Devils and Ducks both happy following Henrique, Vatanen deal As expected, Henrique received a proper welcome as he faced his former team — the start of an eventful night for the 27-year-old.It isn't too common for a player to make a swift return after being traded away — especially if it involves a player transitions from the Eastern Conference to Western Conference, or vice versa.That's not Henrique's case, though.Nearly three weeks passed since Henrique was dealt to Anaheim.The immensely small window leaves Henrique with a variety of emotions."I don't know if it will be a good thing or it will make it tougher," Henrique told NHL Network prior to the game ."But everything's been great so far and I'm excited for tonight." To cap off his emotional return, Henrique scored at the 8:39 mark in the second period to give Anaheim a 3-1 lead.
