Central Piers New Maxwell 10 car Waltzer Begins Build Up after an almost year long absence of a spin n puke attraction on the famous boardwalk.

The ride was new to Walter Shufflebottom of Clarence Pier in 1964, and was originally known as Walt’s Waltzer. In April 1983 the ride was purchased by Jimmy Godden for use at Pleasurama Amusement Park, Ramsgate, at the end of 1988 the ride was sold to Keith Emmett. Emmett operated a small amount of rides on a seasonal basis at Cosgrove Park in Milton Keynes, and the Waltzer joined these for one season. At the end of the 1989 season the ride joined the travelling circuit with showman John Scarrott. It was during the time the ride received its now famed Spin-A-Disc name, before being sold in 2011 to David & Michael Wallis at the New Palace Funfair New Brighton, Merseyside, bought by Peter Sedgwick in 2020, the machine was lifted onto its new home of Central Pier on 1st July 2021 after receiving a shedload of work in the past year including new sleepers and nearly new gates all new shutters everything with stainless steel brackets, screws and bolts, new uprights again with all stainless steel brackets, 10 new platforms and other 10 repaired, half of the run ups replaced and others replayed ,second hand troffs and ceilings, cars have been gone though and all re upholstered, new Fiberglass rounding boards and front flash, gear box and motor out and serviced, all new pixel lighting in steps troughs etc
