The 1931 Crisis - August 24 - The Formation of the National Government

In this episode, the Second Labour Government reaches its conclusion, unable to agree on the platform of cuts needed to save the pound. However, it's not over for Ramsay MacDonald, as he, Conservative leader Stanley Baldwin, and Liberal acting leader Herbert Samuel agree on starting a National Government - an all-party coalition, with MacDonald continuing as Prime Minister. Although it may seem like they've found a way out of the Crisis, events in the near future would prove to shake the foundations of this new, controversial Government...
