I've been thinking about this song now for several months, and finally decided to try recording it yesterday. I actually had to start over again several times because I found myself getting too emotional. This is perhaps the most serious of Elton and Bernie's many works. It paints a sobering portrait of a subject that unfortunately continues to be relevant today.
