Hi I’m Damian. I’m a bartender here at Liquid Kitty in West LA California. And we’re gonna talk a little about a drink called the Woo Woo today. Fruity is in the family of fruity mixturings from the ‘80s. Like Sex on the Beach or Redheaded Slut. Weird names.
[A Woo woo is like a “Sex on the Beach” but without the orange juice]
We usually make it as a shot called a shooter which is a mixed drink that’s drunk as a shot. It’s just a regular shot with liquor right at the bottle put into a little shot glass. And today, we’re gonna make a woo as a drink as we’re gonna turn it into shots so you can see the differences between the two.
So we’re gonna start with a rocks glass, fill with ice. And the woo woo is simply one part vodka. About an ounce and a half.
[1 ½ oz of vodka]
One part peach schnapps
[1 ½ oz of peach schnapps] About an ounce and a half.
And then one part cranberry juice.
[1 ½ oz of Cranberry Juice]
So I’m gonna give it a good shake. Now if we left it on here, it will be just a woo woo on the rocks. We’re gonna make it a shot, we’ll take some two pony glasses. And have two decent-sized shots. There’s your woo woo shot.
