FUNDAMENTAL FACTS ABOUT THE LIFE AND EXISTENCE OF MAN

• Man is an eternal being made in the image and likeness of an eternal God. Everybody who has ever been born will live forever... Genesis 1 vs 27.

• Man’s life on earth is a temporary adventure of, a fraction of man’s overall life... James 4 vs 14.

• The end of earthly life is the beginning of endless life in eternity... Daniel 12 vs 2.

• God does not desire for anyone to be lost in hell, God desires for people to live with Him forever. Matthew 25 vs 41, 2 Peter 3 vs 8 - 9.

NOTE: The greater bulk of our lives will be spent in eternity, so wisdom demands that we pay attention to our eternal destination...


WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO LIVE WITH ETERNITY IN VIEW?

(1) LIVING IN THE PRESENT WITH THE END IN MIND... 1 Peter 4 vs 7

(2) LIVING AND CONDUCTING OUR LIVES’ ACTIONS WITH ETERNITY AS THE MAJOR CONSIDERATION... Ecclesiastes 12 vs 13 - 14.

(3) LIVING IN THE NOW WITH READINESS AND PREPAREDNESS FOR ETERNITY... Matthew 25 vs 13, 24 vs 44.

(4) LIVING AS STRANGERS AND PILGRIMS IN THE EARTH... 1 Peter 2 vs 11.

(5) LIVING IN THE WORLD WITHOUT FORGETTING ONESELF IN THE WORLD... Philippians 3 vs 20 - 21.


WHAT CONSTITUTE READINESS AND PREPAREDNESS WITH GOD IN HEAVEN

(1) BE BORN AGAIN. Born again is not the joining of the church or being born into a church. To be born again is when you recognize that you are a sinner and that you need God’s mercy cause you can’t help yourself... John 3 vs 8, 1 vs 12, 1 Peter 1 vs 23, 2 Corinthians 5 vs 17, Romans 8 vs 16.

(2) LIVE TO PLEASE GOD WITH YOUR LIFE. You don’t live to please yourself, society or the devil. You live to please your Maker. The way you are living right now is giving pleasure to somebody, who is the person? Can God said I am happy with you... Philippians 1 vs 21, Matthew 3 vs 17, 17 vs 5, Revelation 4 vs 11.

(3) LIVE WITH A CONSCIENCE THAT IS VOID OF OFFENCE BEFORE GOD AND MAN. Live with a conscience that is tender and mild. A living conscience equals a healthy Spiritual life. When conscience is dead, life is doomed... Acts 24 vs 16, Romans 2 vs 14 - 15, 1 Timothy 1 vs 19, 4 vs 1 - 3.

Conscience can die:

(A) With repeated acts of rebellion.
(B) Conscience can die with unconfessed sin.
(C) Conscience can become dead with excusing away, explaining away or justifying wrong deeds.

(4) LIVE IN THE CONSCIOUSNESS AND COMPANY OF HIS PRESENCE. If you can’t enjoy His presence here, how will it be possible to access His presence after this time. Where you don’t have interest you can’t have harvest... Psalm 17 vs 15, 122 vs 1, James 4 vs 8, 1 Samuel 2 vs 30.

(5) LIVE IN HIS WORSHIP AND SERVICE. You can’t serve 2 masters. We cannot worship and serve self or personal achievement... Matthew 4 vs 8 - 10, Deuteronomy 4 vs 24, Revelation 14 vs 13.

(6) LIVE AS GOD’S REPRESENTATIVE IN YOUR GENERATION. Live as an ambassador of the Kingdom in your generation. Live unashamedly for God in your generation. Let His Brand-Mark be found in your life... Matthew 5 vs 15 - 16, Galatians 6 vs 17, 1 Peter 2 vs 9, Mark 8 vs 28, Luke 9 vs 25 - 26.

(7) LAY UP TREASURES BEFORE GOD. Matthew 6 vs 19 - 21, 24, 1 Timothy 6 vs 17 - 19.

(8) DO WHAT YOU CAN DEFEND BEFORE GOD. Do what is revealed by revelation and confirmed by the word... Matthew 12 vs 36 - 37, Romans 14 vs 12, Ecclesiastes 12 vs 13 - 14.

(9) FOLLOW PEACE AND LOVE WITH ALL MEN. Stop playing with malice and bitterness... Romans 14 vs 19, 13 vs 8 - 11, Hebrews 12 vs 14, Mark 12 vs 28 - 34, 1 John 4 vs 20, Romans 12 vs 18.

(10) LOOK FORWARD TO HIS COMING. Philippians 3 vs 20 - 21, Hebrews 9 vs 27 - 28.
