FM Choral Artists

Описание к видео FM Choral Artists

Lake Region Arts Council (LRAC) is please to present FM Choral Artists as one of the participating arts organizations in our Survive to Thrive Program. Please watch and listen as Director Michael Culloton introduces them to us in this video.
Michael: “My name is Michael Culloton, and I'm the Artistic Director and Conductor for the Fargo Moorhead Choral Artists.
Over the years, the size of the Choral Artists has grown dramatically to a choir, that you'll see snippets of, numbering more than 60 singers. Singers come from Fargo-Moorhead, of course, but also from about an hour's drive if we drew a circle on a map. We've got singers who commit their time and their talent and their treasures to making sure that this arts organization continues to thrive in the Red River Valley.

A lot of our singers come to us with great formal music educations. Some of them stay at home as stay- at-home parents. Some of them work lots of hours in the day. But what they have in common is their desire to share several hours each Tuesday night making choral music at a high level. We've enjoyed doing that now for nearly 40 years.

The types of music that you hear at a Choral Artists' event span from Broadway musicals to Renaissance motets to newly written works. I think it's that variety that truly is the spice of our choral life and keeps the singers coming back.

So, we're the Choral Artists. We hope that you'll find us. We hope that you'll enjoy some music with us. And if you're looking for a place to make great choral music, check out our website at: www.fmchoralartists.org.”
