Improvisation for Persian Tanbour and Buchla 200e

Tanbour and Buchla 200e combine yet again, this time with rhythm! And, in a departure from the usual microtonal offerings, in 12 tone equal temperament C major!

Here we have a couple of synthesis techniques on display. The drone is created using the patch shown here:    • Drone school with the Buchla 296e  

The Keen 282e is extremely useful for writing music to accompany an instrument if you are solo. I have used it here for the long fade in and fade out of the drone. In the middle of that four-minute envelope, it triggers the rhythm to start playing.
