Big Bird x Snuffy Love Story

I know I said I’d try to re edit the Sesame Street Unnecessary Censorship video in my community tab, and I’ll get to it soon. But, I’ve been more motivated to do other projects, one of which is a Christmas video (yes, I know it’s not even October yet, but I have no inspiration to make any Halloween related videos).

Anyways, you know how much I adore these two. Just look at how they touch and look at each other. I think out of all the Sesame Street same sex ships, Big Bird and Snuffy fit this song the best (at least clip wise). I used Miss Finch, and the Dodos as Big Bird’s unsupportive family for clip convenience, and because they would probably disapprove of Big Bird and Snuffy’s relationship (though I think it’d be more because Big Bird is in love with someone who isn’t a bird).

Story:
Big Bird always felt lonely, and never really fit in with the other birds. One day, Big Bird met a creature called a snuffleupagus (or “Snuffy” as he prefers to be called), who felt his same feelings of loneliness, and the two hit it off pretty well. The two would meet each other again at a party, and they begin dancing. Big Bird tells Snuffy where he lives, in hopes he’d come and visit.

The next day, Snuffy does come to visit Big Bird at his house. Unfortunately, Big Bird’s aunt, Miss Finch catches them, and tells Snuffy to leave. She also yells at Big Bird, forbidding him from seeing Snuffy again.

However, that didn’t stop Big Bird from seeing his only friend (whom he was starting to develop feelings for). He and Snuffy would often sneak out to a private place to spend time with each other. Big Bird’s family eventually caught on to this. When Big Bird tries to tell them that he’s in love with Snuffy, Miss Finch is furious, and the rest of Big Bird’s family just laugh at them, and tell Big Bird he needs to fall in love with a bird (preferably a female one). A distressed Big Bird grabs Snuffy and runs off crying. He tells Snuffy that he’s tired of the other birds telling him how to feel, and who he should fall in love with, and Snuffy comforts him, promising that he’ll try to find a way to get the both of them out of this situation.

Months have passed, and it’s Christmas time. Big Bird hasn’t seen or heard from Snuffy in a while, and was starting to think he didn’t care about him anymore. But then, he sees him, but he isn’t sure if he’s real, or just a hallucination. Snuffy confirms that he is indeed real, and the reason he couldn’t see him is because his family didn’t think they should be together, and wouldn’t allow him to see him for a while either. But after seeing how much Snuffy truly loved Big Bird, they eventually turned around, and wanted Snuffy to introduce his boyfriend to them. Big Bird is happy that Snuffy didn’t forget about him, and the two go to Snuffy’s home.
