Dear Nashville

On Thursday, June 27, around 10:25 PM, I met someone special at Wow Bao in Terminal A, Delta Airlines, at the Salt Lake City airport. We were both waiting for our food when we struck up a conversation.

He was heading to Phoenix, Arizona, to visit family, but he lives in Nashville. He about 6'3", wore black shorts and a gray shirt, and carried a black backpack. His short, dark, slightly curly hair framed a friendly face.

We talked about our jobs—he works in software development, creating applications for companies like Tractor Supply and AutoZone. He mentioned working remotely but traveling frequently. I shared my story about ending up in Wyoming, working with horses, which felt wild and random at the time.

For the first time in a long while, I felt completely present and invested in the moment. Our conversation was natural and refreshing, with no awkwardness or friction. When he had to hurry to catch his flight, I felt frantic, wishing we had more time.

Finding him would help me believe that our meeting wasn't just happenstance. I think he’s genuinely interesting, and I'd love to get to know more about who he is.
