"The Alps" was one of the first digital Travel Adventure Cinema shows (also known as Travelogues), evolving from a 100-year-old art form that has now all but disappeared from the American cultural landscape. It was presented live (narrated from the stage) at performing arts venues, college theaters, high school auditoriums, and community centers all over the United States between 2004 and 2013. Performances included Carnegie Music Hall, the Universities of Utah, Illinois, Wisconsin, Iowa, and hundreds of other venues, usually as a part of a season of travel film lectures sponsored by local organizations.
