I got the idea for the main piano riff by trying out Hiromi Uehara-inspired eighteenth note lines. I like how the F melodic minor tonic goes up a half-step to lydian. It gets this light and dark sound at the same time, because the bright Gb lydian has the same notes as the much darker F phrygian. It was also really fun to include a lot of vibrato in the guitar part. I can't do that on the piano so I gotta compensate :D
