Why I never edit in 4k if I can help it! It just doesn't make any sense especially if you're running Davinci Resolve on a laptop. 4k will make everything slower to run and use more battery with little to no real benefits when actually editing/cutting your timeline together.

In this video I explain why I don't think 4k makes sense for most people and talk about the alternatives like using Proxies, Timeline Proxy Mode or settings your timeline to be a lower resolution such as 1080p. Enjoy!
