Chicago City Title Game Goes OVERTIME SImeon v Kenwood! Dai Dai Ames v Jalen Griffith! ANKLEBREAKER!

Chicago Simeon faced Kenwood Academy in the 2023 Chicago Public League championship game at Credit Union 1 Arena at UIC. This would be Simeon Coach Robert Smith's final Public League game at Simeon as he's announced his retirement at the end of the season.
After overcoming a 20 point fourth quarter deficit, Kenwood fell in overtime. Simeon won 72-64. The Rubin twins dominated throughout the playoffs. Wes Rubin finished with 21 points. Miles Rubin added 15 points, 5 blocks. Sam Lewis and Jalen Griffith added 11.
Dai Dai Ames led Kenwood with 22 points. Isaiah Green scored 11 in the fourth quarter rally and Chris Riddle added 10 off the bench.
