❤️❤️Spelt Bread Recipe:❤️❤️
Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees
1 cup of warm water
1 egg
2 Tablespoons of sugar
1.5 teaspoons of salt
1 Tablespoon of yeast
Stir the above ingredients, then add:
1 teaspoon of Psyllium husk powder
1 teaspoon of chia seeds
1 Tablespoon of ground flax
Mix together and let stand for 2-5 minutes to allow chia seeds to gel, then add:
2 Tablespoons of room-temperature butter and mix it in
Mix in APPROXIMATELY 3 cups of spelt flour (you might need a little more or a little less than 3 cups of flour to achieve the correct consistency and texture)
Allow the dough to rise for approximately 1 hour, or until it doubles in size
Shape the dough into a loaf and let rise in oiled pan for approximately 1 hour, or until it doubles in size
Bake at 350 degrees for approximately 30 minutes
Remove from oven and coat top crust with butter
Remove from pan and place on cookie/bread rack and allow to cool before slicing or bagging
