Tutorial: Micro Fast Break 🏀 PC by Michele Montagni

A long-time fan of Fast Break Pro Basketball by Mickey Games, computer programmer Michele Montagni (of Italy) utilized the NBA championship match-ups from the 1973-74 thru 1985-86 seasons and created a DOS based iteration of the legendary Fast Break (card and dice) basketball experience. The game, called Micro Fast Break (v. 9.9) is a scrolling text game with all of the coaching options of the original card and dice classic, including pre-game injuries, full line-up selection, Triggerman summaries and the option to have players "Play Safe" if in foul trouble (while sacrificing defense and rebounding). From the "dazzler" to the "...it rolls on the rim... it's good" commentary, Montagni put his love of tabletop basketball games into this DOS based program, which still works well with DOSBox 0.74 software.
