Ranganayaka Sagar reservoir another milestone in the Kaleshwaram Lift Irrigation Project. Ranganayaka Sagar caters to the water requirements of Siddipet and Sircilla Assembly constituencies, was inaugurated by Telanagna ministers KT Rama Rao and T Harish Rao on 24-04-2020. Ranganayaka Sagar reservoir is located near Chandlapur village of Chinnakodur mandal of Siddipet district. Reservoir’s bund will span a length of 8.65 km and will stand 32.4 metres tall at its highest point. While the bund will be six metres wide, at the ground level, it will be 196 metres wide, with a capacity of 3tmcft, this project seeks to irrigate 1.10 lakh acres of parched land. The reservoir also fills 400 lakes and check dams through the canals. People are more keen on visiting the project to see it brimming with Godavari water.
