How to Add Dimensions
Use the DIM command: Type DIM or QDIM (Quick Dimension) in the command line; hover over objects for automatic dimension type detection, then click to place.
Use the Ribbon: Go to the Annotate tab and use the specific dimension tools (Linear, Angular, etc.).
Select Objects: Choose lines, arcs, or specify points, then move the cursor to set the dimension line's position and orientation.
Place & Continue: Click to place the dimension, then use Continue or Baseline options for chained dimensions, or press Enter to finish.
Customization (Dimension Styles)
Access the Dimension Style Manager (command DIMSTYLE).
Create new styles or modify existing ones to control text height, arrow size, units (e.g., imperial/metric), precision, and placement.
