A Tribute to John Wayne & Maureen O’Hara [Gentle On My Mind]

A tribute to the irresistible onscreen couple of John Wayne and Maureen O'Hara!

Seriously, I love these two together so much. John Wayne is one of the great icons of American cinema and, in my opinion, no one suits him better than fiery Maureen O'Hara, who is equally unforgettable in her own right. (In fact, she's one of my all-time favorite actresses!) In addition to having tremendous chemistry onscreen, John and Maureen were also close friends until his death and spoke glowingly of each other. She has once been said to be the "only leading lady big enough and tough enough for John Wayne." I agree!

They worked together in a total of 5 movies: "Rio Grande" (1950), "The Quiet Man" (1952), "The Wings of Eagles" (1957), "McLintock!" (1963), and "Big Jake" (1971). I used clips from each of them. You're going to see quite a bit of "The Quiet Man" in this video, since that one's my favorite!

The song is "Gentle On My Mind" by Glen Campbell, who once starred in a movie with Mr. Wayne himself. I don't own the song or any of the clips. I hope you enjoy!
