First time in the local park with my new radio Yaesu FT-818 and small MFJ antenna tuner. Radio was powered by the internal Ni-MH 1900mAh battery.
Antenna was just a 12m random wire on a bush fence probably not high enough but I made 2 contacts.
I used to have FT-817 which I have sold year or two ago and now I am really excited to be back QRP in the park. There was good propagation to America and Canada - heard few stations from across the ocean.
You can hear what happens during contests and how the amateur radio "police" is reacting to the busy bands. There are always nervous operators on air.

Nothing special but good fun.
