How to get from Phuket Airport to your destination, whether you have booked in advance or not.
If you have booked in advance, your agent will be waiting for you outside the departures area, with a board with your name on it.
Let's start with the Phuket Smart Bus.
The blue and white bus is parked in front of the airport terminal and travels to Patong and beyond, all the way to Rawai Beach in Southern Phuket.
Where to find the Bus stop.
From the International Terminal, Walk to the Ground floor, turn left to exit 6 and Keep walking by following the sign to the domestic terminal. exit 3.
The bus will stop opposite café Amazon.
It is the Blue and White Bus
The best part of this option is that it takes the route along the scenic west coast.
The bus runs from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. every hour, and you can check the live location of the buses on their website: phuketsmartbus.com.
Each trip costs only 100 Baht per person.
The bus arrives at the parking spot 15 minutes before departure time, so we recommend arriving a bit early to ensure you don't miss it.
Taxis, limousines, and minibuses are the fastest, and more private, and most comfortable ways to commute to Patong.
Your driver can stop anytime and anywhere you like and will drop you off right at your hotel.
Of course, you do have to pay more for this convenience.

Yellow and red metered taxi.
The yellow and red metered taxis are also available outside the domestic or international terminals.
You can spot the taxi-meter counter easily, and it is open until the last flight.
It is a little cheaper than the airport limousine and minibus, but there is an airport surcharge of 100 baht to add to the meter.
As usual in Thailand, ensure your taxi driver turns on the meter when leaving. These taxis are suitable for 2 to 3 people with not a lot of luggage.
A taxi ride from the airport to Patong costs 800 Baht.

Limousines.
A limousine ride from the airport to Patong costs from 1000 Baht.
Airport limousines are newer and more comfortable cars, and you don't have to pay the airport fee.
These limousines are suitable for 2 to 3 people with not a lot of luggage.
Drivers often speak decent English and will not try to sell you a tour or excursion on the way to your hotel.
The airport limousine counters are inside and outside the terminals, usually just outside the baggage claim and exit doors.

Minibuses
Minibuses are also available at the airport and can be found at the same ticket offices as the limousine counter.
The journey to Patong via minibus takes about one hour and costs 200 Baht per person.
The seats are comfortable, and the ride can be quicker than the regular bus unless your hotel is the last on the list of drop-offs.
You will have to wait for all 10 seats to be filled before the driver takes off, and you should not have a lot of luggage.
The other minibus option is to hire the whole bus for you and your family and friends. It's the most comfortable way to travel, and luggage should not be a problem.
This option can cost up to 2000 baht, as you have the whole bus to yourself.
The prices I have mentioned can vary, sometimes they are cheaper, and sometimes more expensive, but are usually the same no matter which counter you buy your ticket from.
