‘Jeff Buckley: The Grace in Road Recovery’ tells the story that led to the launching of non-profit Road Recovery in 1998. This video shares the inside story of the young musician Jeff Buckley’s personal inspiration in the launch of Road Recovery during his lifetime by members of his touring and personal management team. ‘Jeff Buckley: The Grace in Road Recovery’ accompanies the theatrical, streaming (HBO-Max) and DVD/Blu-Ray release of ‘It’s Never Over, Jeff Buckley’ (Magnolia Pictures), an authorized documentary which covers the life of rock music’s singer/songwriter with an otherworldly voice and boundary-pushing artistry, who left the 1990s music world reeling when he died suddenly, at age 30, after the release of his critically acclaimed debut album ‘Grace’ (Columbia Records).

Road Recovery is a music industry-driven non-profit dedicated to helping young people as they battle addiction and other adversities in their lives. Road Recovery strives to empower young people to identify, express and amplify their voices in hopes of affecting positive change in themselves and their community. Road Recovery’s goal is to help young people develop healthy coping, communication, and life skills.

Mentored by entertainment industry professionals who have confronted similar life struggles, and with support from the mental health field, Road Recovery’s action-driven programs offer “all access” opportunities for young people to engage in the process of creating, planning, and presenting their own live performance events and studio recording projects.
Road Recovery was started with foundational support of Buckley’s mother Mary Guibert and “The Golden Promise” she introduced at her son’s memorial service to make a sacred vow “to make the world a better place to make up for the loss of this one amazing person.” Since 1998, Road Recovery has blossomed from a grassroots organization into a national endeavor, reaching over 50,000 youth and young adults.

“It’s Never Over, Jeff Buckley” includes never-before-seen footage, exclusive voice messages, and accounts from Jeff Buckley's inner circle, including Road Recovery Founders Gene Bowen and Jack Bookbinder, to paint a captivating portrait of the gifted musician who died tragically in 1997.
